Where can I find child information and what does it include?
Once a contract is fully signed, a child’s information will be available in the tiney app. Go to the Children tab and select the child.
You’ll see several sections, including:
About – personal details about the child
Calendar – shows a child’s register history and when they’re scheduled to be in your care
More – includes important information such as:
Contact information
Medical needs and allergies
Dietary requirements
Other important care details
When do I need to check child information?
You must be able to access a child’s information before they are left alone in your care, for example before their placement starts.
Why is it important to keep child information up to date?
Up-to-date child information helps keep children safe and is reviewed as part of your annual Quality Assurance visit. Missing or outdated details could affect your grading.
Parents can update information at any time, so it’s important to check it regularly.
What’s my responsibility as a childminder?
You’re responsible for making sure families keep their child information up to date. We recommend reminding parents to review it a couple of times a year and asking them to update the app if they share changes verbally.
