How do I use it?
Start typing in any multi-line text field.
The tiney AI button will appear just above your keyboard.
Tap it and choose one of the suggested options.
Once a suggestion appears, you can apply it, try again, or discard the changes.
What can I use it for, and where?
The writing assistant helps you communicate more clearly and confidently by suggesting improvements to the text you write. You can use it wherever you type longer, multi-line text, including:
Journal posts, including EYFS Observations
Your tiney Profile text
Other multi-line editors throughout the app
It is not currently available in:
Inbox or Noticeboard posts with parents
Comments on Journal entries
Can I use it on just part of my text?
Yes! If you want to refine only a sentence or paragraph, just highlight that section first.
If nothing is selected, the AI will suggest improvements for all of your text.
Only the highlighted text will be updated – the rest stays the same.
Try using your phone’s voice-to-text feature
Most devices have built-in ways to quickly record your thoughts using your keyboard:
Apple: Tap the microphone icon in the bottom right of your keyboard to start dictating.
Android: Tap the microphone icon (usually on the keyboard) to start dictating.
This is a super quick way to capture your ideas without typing. Once your text is recorded, you can use the AI Writing Assistant to tidy it up, improve clarity, and polish the tone.
Does it automatically post for me?
No. The assistant only suggests improvements while you write – it never posts or sends anything automatically. You decide when a message is ready.
