Our goal at tiney is to ensure that accurate monthly invoices are delivered to you in good time each month, so your assistance with our monthly timetable is hugely appreciated.

  • 📆 Unless otherwise stated on your signed agreement, care is billed monthly in advance. So, for example, in May you’ll receive an invoice for planned care in June, which is due for payment by the end of May.

  • 7️⃣ If you wish to make any changes to planned care, you must give your childminder 7 days notice to add or remove hours. If you (or your provider) want to make fundamental changes to your agreement such as ending care or moving to/from local authority funding, this requires 30 days notice. We support our childminders to observe these notice periods so that they can plan their income and to keep everything fair for all sides.

  • 1️⃣ 5️⃣ We kindly ask our childminders to send all changes for the next billing month to us by the 15th day of the previous month. This gives us time to update and issue an invoice to you that is accurate to the care being provided. For example, if you wanted to add an extra day in October, your childminder would need to be aware of this and let us know by the 15th September in order for it to appear on October’s invoice. Any changes we receive after the 15th of the month will either be added to the subsequent month’s invoice or can in some cases be invoiced separately.

  • 3️⃣ 1️⃣ Whether your invoices are paid via debit card, tax-free childcare, childcare vouchers, local authority funding or a mixture of payment types, you should receive your invoice seven days before the due date (usually the last day of that month). If you haven’t received your expected invoice by this date, please contact us directly.

  • 🔴 Please note that you should only ever receive invoices from tiney, not directly from your childminder. This is designed to protect you and the provider from any sort of fraudulent or unfair practice, and helps us maintain accuracy across billing. It also allows us to accept debit card, tax-free childcare, childcare vouchers, and local authority funding - something individual childminders cannot do. If you’re unsure about whether an invoice is genuinely from tiney, please contact us.

  • 💳 Finally, please ensure you pay your invoice on time! 🙂 This helps our brilliant childminders plan their income and keeps the quality of their care as high as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns about the above please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
