When you register with tiney, we ask you to provide a complete picture of what you've been doing since you were 16 β whether that's employment, education, or career breaks. Here's why this matters.
It's a safeguarding requirement
As an Ofsted-registered Childminder Agency, tiney has a legal duty to make sure that everyone who cares for children is suitable to do so. These checks help us to decide whether you are suitable to train and run your own childminding business with tiney.
Verifying your work history and understanding any gaps is a key part of safer recruitment. If there are unexplained periods in your history, it could indicate times when someone left a role under concerning circumstances β so we need to understand the full picture.
Career breaks and education count too
We know not everyone has a straightforward work history. That's why we ask about education and career breaks as well as employment. Taking time out to study, raise a family, or travel is completely normal β we just need the complete picture.
