All tiney homes are covered under the tiney group policy, administrated by Morton Michel and underwritten by Covea. Each tiney home has it's own individual policy number and tiney childminders will be sent a copy of all relevant insurance documents shortly after their registration.

Morton Michel are the leading UK childcare insurance specialist. The tiney policy cover's each home for Public Liability up to £10 Million ( in case a child in care suffers an accident or injury) and includes legal advice. There is a small part of the cover for childminding specific contents and some personal items, but it does not replace your own full contents cover.

What about wider home/content insurance for tiney homes?

If you own your property then you will need to update your own home/contents insurance when you open your tiney home. You may also need to advise your mortgage provider if you have one.

If you are a tenant you can get specific tenants cover for your own items in the property. You should always advise your insurers that you are running a business from home to ensure the level of cover you require is appropriate.
