All tiney childminders go through a rigorous and mandatory set of background checks as part of their onboarding with the agency. These include:
Local Authority background checks
Known to Ofsted checks
Enhanced DBS checks for them and every member of their household over the age of 16
Tiney childminders are also required to undergo paediatric first aid training and a GP health check.
Your childminder should have their certificates clearly displayed within their setting. If you can’t see them, be sure to ask them to show you.
