At tiney, we believe everyone deserves an equal opportunity to thrive. That includes childminders and trainees with learning differences, disabilities, or other accessibility needs. We’re committed to making our training and tools inclusive, flexible, and accessible for all.

Accessing Training on the Web

All training content is available at web.tiney.co, our browser-based platform which allows you to:

  • Adjust font sizes and zoom levels

  • Use screen readers or dyslexia-friendly browser tools

  • Engage with content in a format that works for you

Accessible and Inclusive Training Design

Our training is multimedia-based to support a range of learning styles meaning that in both upfront training and ongoing CPD it combines:

  • Written content in short, readable paragraphs with clear headings and bullet points

  • A strong weighting to video and audio, alongside written text

  • Fully captioned video content- supporting learners who are deaf, hard of hearing, or working in quiet environments

We also follow inclusive design principles across all our platforms, making use of:

  • Sans-serif fonts and minimum text sizes

  • High contrast colour schemes

  • Avoidance of justified text and red-green colour combinations

Accessibility in the tiney App (iOS and Android)

Our mobile app works seamlessly with built-in accessibility features on iOS and Android. We actively support and do not restrict the use of:

  • VoiceOver and TalkBack screen readers

  • Triple-tap Zoom, Loupe, and other magnification tools

  • Dynamic Type, enabling users to scale text size throughout the app

  • High contrast and colour filter settings

For iPhone users, you can learn more about adjusting accessibility settings at Apple Accessibility Settings.

Adjustments and Support

If you have a disability, learning difference, or accessibility need - including dyslexia, autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, or physical disabilities - we’re happy to make reasonable adjustments during your training. These may include:

  • Extra time on registration assessment calls, including permission to make use of notes

  • Flexibility in how assessments are carried out

  • Templates and visual aids to support report writing or planning

Please speak to your adviser, or contact tiney via the tiney chat, so we can best support you in your journey. We're here to help!

Encouraging Strength and Confidence

Many of our most innovative and empathetic childminders bring lived experience of learning differences. We celebrate this diversity and encourage all trainees to use their strengths- whether that’s creativity, resilience, or problem-solving- as part of their journey.
