Sometimes things change. A child might start using funded hours, their schedule might shift, or you might want to update your rates. Now you can edit an existing contract right in the app, without re-entering all those details you've already saved.
What you can update
You can change the weekly care schedule, adjust your rates and fees, or switch the contract type. This includes moving to funded hours, using student finance, or changing between standard and flexible contracts.
The app carries over the guardian and child details from the original contract, so you won't need to enter them again. If the child is using funding, you'll be prompted to enter the funding code and guardian's National Insurance number to check eligibility.
When this is useful
This feature comes in handy when:
A child is starting to use funding or increasing their funded hours
The care schedule is changing
You're updating your rates or fees
You want to switch to our new consumable fees instead of subsistence fees
A child is starting school and moving to wraparound or ad hoc care
How to find it
From your Home Screen, tap the + in the top right corner, then click Start a new contract.
From there, click Edit an existing contract.
Then, select the enrolment you'd like to edit the contract of.
You can leave the contract at any time and the app will save your progress.
How do I find a contract I've started?
If you've started a contract but haven't finished signing it, tap into the Children tab. Then tap the Contracts in progress card at the top. This shows all your incomplete contracts. Just tap the one you need.
What happens once you sign
Once you've signed the updated contract, it's sent to the guardian to sign (just like a new contract). They'll also be asked to check their child passport details. When they sign, the new schedule updates automatically.
Any drafted or unpaid invoices from the contract start date onwards will be automatically updated with the new schedule and fees.
What happens next
Once you’ve signed the updated contract, it’s sent to the guardian to sign, just like when you create a new contract. They’ll also be asked to check their child passport details. When the guardian signs, the new schedule is updated automatically.
Any drafted or unpaid invoices from the contract start date onward will be automatically updated with the new schedule and fees.
Need something the app doesn't cover?
If there's something you'd like to include that isn't available in the contract builder, you can let us know about any extra requirements at the end. Submit these for our team to review, and we'll create a manual contract for you where needed. This may take a few days to process.
