Use the Journal to share Personal care updates on your children’s nappies and toileting attempts throughout the day. Easily record the date and time of the nappy change or toilet attempt, the type and use the note feature to give any further details you want to share with the child’s guardian.
Understanding Personal care posts
Record the date and time - this will be auto- set to the time you create the post, or you can edit it to suit you.
Choose between Nappy or Toilet/potty
Select the type of personal care - urine, stool, dry, rash, cream applied
Write any further details in the notes section, if you need to share further info.
Note: the guardian will be notified once a day of all posts that are created that day.
Edit the date and time
Tap on the date and time field
Scroll to the date and time you want
Tap Done
Selecting tags
Tap on a tag to select it
Tap on it again to deselect it
Add a note
Tap on the Note field
Type your note
Tap Done
Edit a published Personal care post
Find the published post in the child’s Journal feed
Tap on the More icon […]
Select Edit
Make any edits as required and tap Update
Note: Yourself and the guardian will see the updated post instantly. The guardian will not be notified that the post has been updated.
Delete a published Personal care post
Find the published post in the child’s Journal feed
Tap on the More icon […]
Select Delete
Confirm you want to delete the post by tapping Delete
Note: The post will be removed from your feed and the guardian’s feed. The guardian will not be notified that the post has been deleted.
Can I create multiple Personal care posts at the same time?
Yes!
Tap Add from the home screen
Tap Add to Journal
Tap Personal care
Select the relevant children from the list
Complete the post in the usual way
What will the child’s guardian see?
When guardians open the app, they’ll be able to see the list of journal entries exactly as you see them.
Can others at my setting create Personal care posts?
Yes! All registered childminders and assistants at your setting have access to create Personal care posts.
