All registered tiney childminders have access to the tiney Wallet - your simple and secure way to receive payments, track your earnings, and withdraw funds straight to your bank.
This guide will walk you through setting up your Wallet, how payments work, and what to expect once everything’s up and running.
Setting up only takes a few minutes. Here’s what you’ll need:
Your bank sort code and account number
The name on your bank account (exactly as it appears)
Your date of birth
You can use a personal or business account - whichever suits you best.
Open the tiney wallet in your app
Head to the Wallet tab in your tiney app and tap "Get started" to begin.
Accept the terms
Before you can use the Wallet, you’ll be asked to agree to the terms of service.
We’ve partnered with Modulr, a secure and regulated payments provider, to keep your money safe.
Tick the box to confirm, then tap Next.
Enter your bank details
Now, enter the bank details for where you'd like your earnings to go.
Choose Personal or Business
Enter your sort code and account number
Add the name on your account exactly as it appears with your bank
Select your date of birth from the dropdown
Tap Check details to continue.
We’ll verify your details
We use a name-matching system called Confirmation of Payee to make sure your bank details match what your bank has on file. This helps keep everything secure and running smoothly.
If you see a warning
If anything looks off – like a typo or a slight name mismatch – we’ll show you a warning.
You’ll always be given a chance to review and update your details. If everything looks right, you can still continue – but it’s always a good idea to double-check you’ve entered the correct details.
You're all set!
Once your details are verified, you’ll see a confirmation screen. Tap Done, and your Wallet is ready to use!
If any families have already made payments, those funds will appear in your Wallet shortly after setup.
