Before booking your registration visit, you'll need to be sure you've completed all of the below. Note that your advisor will contact you directly to start the booking process, so you don't need to do anything to set this up.
All trainees:
You need to have already passed your theory test call
DBS checks for you and anyone over 16 who lives in or regularly visits your home ideally need to be returned and passed. If your DBS's are taking a long time we can have the visit booked before they are returned but they must have been applied for.
Your GP form ideally needs to be returned and passed, with all certificates submitted to tiney.
First aid in person training ideally should be completed and submitted the certificate to tiney. If unable to get a date before the visit you can go ahead with your visit as long as you have a date booked in for the practical session.
Please note if you are booking in your visits without all your checks back if anything appears on any of your checks that we have not been made aware of and passed during the self referral stage, this will need to be reviewed by our safeguarding panel, to ensure it is in line with our policy for childminders joining us at tiney. If you haven't self declared, and believe there might be something we should be made aware of on these checks, please make sure you let us know as soon as possible, and before your registration visit is booked. You can not be registered with tiney until all of your checks are back, and have been passed.
If applicable:
If you have lived in a country other than the UK in the past, your Letter of Good Conduct needs to have been returned and passed
If you live in a rented property, you need to have permission from your landlord returned in writing. Note that tiney doesn't need to see the written permission, but you do need to confirm that it has been given in writing.
If you believe you have completed all of the above and your advisor hasn't been in touch to arrange your registration visit, please contact them directly.
